MASTERCLASS: Grape production: quality, yield and the business model with Dr Peter Dry (SE)

An understanding of vine balance and its influence on fruit yield and quality is one of the most critical factors for the success of a grape growing business. This Masterclass will cover the scientific principles and the practical techniques used to achieve balance in vine cultivation.
Dr Peter Dry BAgSc, MAgSc, PhD, FASVO is a viticulture consultant at the Australian Wine Research Institute and Adjunct Associate Professor, Faculty of Sciences, University of Adelaide. He has more than 40 years experience as a lecturer at the tertiary level, as a researcher in viticulture and plant physiology and as a viticulture consultant. Peter is the author of more than 260 scientific and technical publications including six books. He has been an invited speaker at grape and wine industry conferences/seminars in UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, USA, Canada, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, NZ and Australia He has also has travelled widely in the wine-producing countries of the world leading to an in-depth knowledge of the effects of site, variety and cultural practices on wine style and quality.
