Dr Richard Smart the 'flying wine doctor' has published over 250 articles on vinegrowing, plus the book 'Sunlight into Wine' recognised as the reference book for canopy management. He is also the viticulture editor of the 'Oxford Companion to Wine', edited by Jancis Robinson MW. Richard is currently managing director of Smart Viticulture, an international vineyard consulting business, and has worked in 27 countries.
