Safety management in the winery

The workshop is being held at South East region venue tba on Thursday, 29 August, 2013, starting at 10:00 and finishing at 16:00.

This workshop is necessary for winemakers and cellar staff to provide the knowledge needed for safe operations in the winery It will cover; Key UK legislation, legal health and safety obligations, hazard identification & risk assessment, COSHH reports and hierarchy of hazard control, common industrial hazards, first aid provision, record keeping and reporting specific winery hazards.

Tony Milanowski teaches Winemaking & Oenology at Plumpton College and has a Graduate Diploma in Oenology and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Adelaide University. As an Australian winemaker, he has worked ten vintages in Australia for companies such as Hardys and Katnook Estate, and he has completed three vintages in Italy.
