Vineyard pesticide use: application and handling (PA1)
The workshop is being held at Plumpton College, East Sussex on Wednesday, 4 June, 2014, starting at 09:00 and finishing at 17:00.
The correct use of pesticides is necessary to control pests and diseases, optimise fruit quality, for environmental responsibility and minimise the costs of production.
This course will cover all legislation on pesticide use in the UK including, safe storage, handling, use, transport, PPE requirements personal protection equipment. Examination is not included, but can be arranged independently by the trainee.
Brian Speed, from Southern Counties Training, has over 30 years experience as a trainer for pesticide use and is also an NPTC examiner. Brian has 10 years experience training with pesticide use and application in vineyards.
