Everyone is welcome to attend WineSkills training events. The DEFRA grant funded rate for training is for members of the UK wine production industry who meet the eligibility criteria below.


Trainees eligible for the Defra grant funded rate for training are either currently, or intend to:

• Produce and sell wine commercially (i.e. have a Wine Producers Licence)
• Sell their grapes to a commercial wine producer
• Offer contract services to a commercial wine producer
• Be employed by a company with the one of the above activities.

NB. New entrants to the industry need to supply a reference to demonstrate intent.
